About the Role:

The Engineer will manage the installation, testing, commissioning, and monitoring of geotechnical instruments and monitoring systems at diverse project sites, including hydropower plants, high-rise buildings, and metro tunnels. This role demands a combination of technical proficiency, field expertise, and project management skills to ensure successful project execution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Field installation, testing, commissioning of geotechnical instruments, geodetic targets & monitoring systems at Hydropower projects, Dams, power house, highrise buildings, Metro tunnels, etc.
  • Troubleshooting, maintenance and providing mechanical and electrical protection of instruments.
  • Monitoring of field instruments, data processing, report preparation with basic data interpretation.
  • Supervision of support work performed by the client such as cable laying, drilling, grouting etc.
  • Alerting client of any unforeseen changes in the readings after its revivification at the site promptly.
  • Preparation of technical documentation such as work schedules, daily/weekly/monthly site progress reports, installation reports, project description, project control sheet, site feedback reports etc.
  • Comply with the health, safety, environmental regulations applicable to the site.
  • Coordination with third party contractors working at site for smooth workflow of the installation and monitoring activities.
  • Acting as a bridge between client and Encardio Rite.
  • Actively participating in periodic progress meetings with client, consultant and owner.
  • Maintaining a record of the available material at the site and altering customer of any shortfall.

Key Deliverables:

  • Successful execution of the field job to client's satisfaction within the agreed time frame.
  • Prepare all necessary technical documentation related to the job accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Certification of the invoices raised for the field technical execution by the client's end-user department.
  • Timely delivery of accurate monitoring reports and AAA breach incidence forms.

Qualifications:

  • B.E./B.Tech in Electrical, Civil engineering, Instruments & Electronics.

Technical Skills:

  • Installation, testing, commissioning & monitoring of major geotechnical instruments on bridges.
  • Data analysis and reporting of geotechnical instruments.
  • Ability to study engineering drawings related to geotechnical instrumentation.
  • Understanding specifications of geotechnical instrumentation.
  • Understanding of basic soil and rock behavior.

Soft Skills:

  • Good written (e-mails, technical reports etc.) and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Project management.
  • Working effectively in a team.
  • Good knowledge in MS Office suite especially Excel including creation macro programs under it.
  • Knowledge of basic computer networking.
  • Basic knowledge of AutoCAD.
